Glad to hear, I have been debating if I should throw some flats on my Fortress One(which arrives today) but haven't heard a lot about anyone using flats on their Wicks and I love flats. Thanks for the insight.

I have Chromes on mine. I found the Preamp WAY to bright. The growl w. the Chromes is amazing.

I also have a new set of Ken Smith Slickrounds that I am debating putting on it..... the Chromes sound so good.

No clue on price. It was more tamed than my master man but had a bit more tonal diversity because of pickup positioning and just the sound of nordstrands. The neck was nice but my masterman neck was thinner which I prefer. Overall it was very nice but I would likely take a masterman config over it.

Of course, the Masterman config is only available as a custom order (or used)

Anyone know what 2 tek flashbacks are going for these days? I'm considering selling mine again. I love it, but with 23 other basses hanging around me, it's not getting out a whole lot.

Last time I put it up for grabs I was getting lowballed on a $700 price tag, which is really strange to me. If Warwick put that bass back in production, as it was manufactured in Germany back in the nineties, it's new price would be probably be past the the $2000 mark. People want to pay less for a Flashback than they would for a pro line of today? Hmm... something is still very wrong with Warwick resale prices. If that still is in fact the case.

Anyhow, yeah... a question and a rant.

Just a few months ago a 5 string that was for sale up here sold for $2499 on ebay with a clean BIN, not a mysterious best offer.

Not exactly apples to apples but that tells me that folks who want them are willing to pay in the rare instance one pops up for sale.

This is why I have kept the 2 I own. I am afraid if I miss one after selling it, I won't be able to afford to buy it back!

This is why I'm always on the fence about selling mine. It's a smokin bass, and worth a whole lot more IMO than what people have been known to let them go for. Don't wanna sound like a penis, but we really oughta pull together on this one and quit letting them go for pennies. I think that's the only way the value is going to rise.

Hmm... there's a joke in there waiting to happen. Was unintentional, but I'm leaving it as is.

I agree that the Flashback - even more than other used Warwicks - has an undeservedly low resale price.

One of these days I'll get my hands on an ash body, passive Fortress R&B. I've been offered one but the timing wasn't (and still isn't) right. I could possibly be convinced to trade my purple F1 for one...
