My 4 string CV is the best J I've ever played. The neck is not slim but it was carved masterfully.

I forgot how much German Warwick’s can cost. Sweetwater has a new Streamer CV5 for $4,600 and a demo for $3,700. That is a lot of money for essentially a passive Jazz with a bass boost pot like a Rickenbacker.

My Brazilian Tagima will suffice.

One could also get a new Warwick made Sadowsky Metroline Will Lee five string about $3,725. If I were going to drop big money, I would get the Will Lee 5.

For the likes of me, second hand is the only way to go. My first Wick was delivered to me by lady Fortuna, and she says there won't be another. :-(

Nowadays it’s entirely built in Germany. Though back before 2014-ish, the PS was built in Korea.

I been able to demo a couple of CVs over time. I tried out a beautiful daphne blue CV4 at the Warwick showroom in NYC (when they still had it) a good while ago and I still remember that was one of the basses that stood out to me. It was just fun to play. I was also able to demo a CV5 years later and was equally impressed with the low B sounding strong. I think one of the design features of this bass that stands out is the re-alignment of the shape. Having that Streamer body shape but with the bridge moved back further and a fewer frets on the neck gets that upper horn strap pin to the 12th fret for a very well balanced instrument. I've attempted to get a used one of these over the years but always seemed to miss out.

Keep your eyes open, you never know when one pops up.

I think the CV is best Wic model.

I would only break my self- imposed buying ban for a CV 5'er. But they are so effing expensive.

German Warwick's are extremely well made. These are killer.
