I think you described everything in life that has any nostalgia to it.
I also think that if you want to be a Grinch about it (which you obviously do) Anyone could make this statement about anything.
It is unnecessarily negative, full of ASSumptions, and only serves to call out others to steal their joy and make yourself feel superior.

When I was young, I liked all kinds of things that old me doesn't care about anymore. But that doesn't devalue those things, or the me of that time.

I truly don't understand the motive for threads like this. They are entirely trollish.

I admit that I used to love the Ramones when I was a kid, but I don't really get most of it beyond that.

Just because something caused a big sensation doesn't mean that it had value. And it seems like the people who went to the concerts were always trying to find some new experience to make them happy. And it never really happened if they still talk about the past.

First, I am NOT a Punk fan, per se; nor was I much influenced by it.

But, I do fondly recall coming across and greatly enjoying this LP, early in my playing time.



Though, at the time, I was not even aware of a form with the label “Punk.”

One aspect of Pop music is to be taking it somewhere new. Some directions work out better than others. The Police had a lot of Punk in their DNA a bit later on, and created some well worn and influential pieces. As one example.

In more general terms, having some element of “Punk Ethic” became somewhat more of a thing; and I do believe that aspect remains with us. That may be the most lasting influence.

music is art, and art as any other thing is life, is good or bad depending of the perceptor's opinion.
Having said that, have you tried to replicate punk rock? Much more complex than blues or rock and roll.

BTW, both bands have the same vocalist. It's a tiny world.
