WawaWHUT? This is one confusing preamp!

I'll still need The Kraken.

I hope one of my sixteen basses works with it. I mean, I suppose I can buy the requisite set of strings, but I really don't want to buy another bass right now, especially an Epiphone.

Indeed. It's bad enough matching heads with cabinets based on impedance, but now we have to match strings and basses to preamps. I suppose such is the price we pay to get teh aw-sum tonez! Before throwing down the cash, I should probably check with the builder that I'm using the correct strap with this unit. I don't want to be comprising its sounds using a Levy leather guitar strap when I should be using a D'Addario Planetwaves locking strap.

If buying the approved Epiphone doesn't appeal, you could go for the equally fabulous Austin seen in a few of the other videos. I might be reading between the lines a bit, but I suspect there are several non-warranty-voiding basses to be found on Amazon.com.

I wonder if this would work with the mothman bass?

Hey doodz, I just got off the phone with one of my friends who did a fly date with a very promising up and coming country artist the other day. The gig had provided backline. On his rider, he requested:
-Roland Cube
-Nitewalker Bass Preamp
-Boss GT-6B
-Epiphone Thunderbird, strung with D'Addario nicklewounds
-Jeans and sweater of same exact blue color with wraparound sunglasses

Well, the promoter made good on the combo, preamp, processor, bass, and all-blue outfit, but my friend immediately saw that the T-bird was strung with Ernie Ball nickles instead of D'Addarios. He was a bit disappointed, but decided he'd try it all out at soundcheck. I guess the bass sounded horrible. After much frustration, I guess the sound engineer complained to the promoter and somebody showed up with a fresh pack of D' Addario nickles that a roadie quickly changed on the bass. Immediately, a ray of light shown down from a high window upon my friend on stage and he played an open E that caused everybody in the immediate vicinity to involuntarily jizz at the sound of such toney-ness. The sound was so awesome and so righteous that Geddy Lee caught wind of it, jumped in his private plane, and showed up right after the monitor check to ask my friend how he got such a sound. The tone was so awesome that it revived Mr. Guitar himself, Chet Atkins, who returned from the grave and offered to record the artist's next album under the stipulation that he could record that bass tone too. From what I understand, Tech21, Fractal Audio, and Line 6 have all been hounding my friend, wondering if they could model that sound he got. Don't knock the D'Addario combo with the Nitewalker. I think my friend's experience represents a revolution in the audiophile quality of bass tone to come.

On the downside, the price of paper in oil caps has skyrocketed due to low supply and obscenely high demand. One of the most popular dissertation topics for current econ grad students is "Paper in Oil Cap Markets: A Function of Toney Nicklewounds."

In principle, I'm not opposed to anyone reading this.
Unless you just cost me a bottle of Kraken.

Hey man, you also wrote an article in that same issue, so therefore you had presumed knowledge. As an attorney, I feel I must do what I can to prevent fraudulent kraken...
