Way to go JimmyM!

Question: who is Jimmy M?

Is he (are you) someone famous, just an all around good guy who knows Ampeg gear thru and thru....or both?

This is an honest question. Not trying to be difficult.
A fair question. I'm nobody famous, but I do gigs with famous people from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Mostly Bowzer from Sha Na Na, but lots of others as well. And I wouldn't say that I know the gear thru and thru...just a fan of what they've done over the years and what they're doing now. And I head up the Portaflex Club on here ;)

Um. Who's Jimmy?

Just kidding, man ;) Congrats, and thank you for getting me to revisit Ampeg after I had initially sworn them off. They're my go to amps thanks to you :)
Glad to hear it and thanks jmatt, because it's comments like yours that got me some Ampeg love.

This thread has really blown up...I'm really amazed and humbled by it. Thanks to all of you for the kind words...made my year!

Thanks, Jimmy! Glad to know that you're doing good and keeping busy with the gigging. Good for you!!

Oh, yeah....let me also send my congrat's to you.

I get artist pricing now. Other than that, I have no clue, and it'll probably be business as usual. I don't see a full-page ad in Bass Player in my future, if that's what you're asking ;) Stanley Clarke/Juan Alderete marquee value, I do not have. But I will represent in my own way as good as I can as they need me.

Thanks for clarification. Seems to me the important thing is that Ampeg is acknowledging your faithful, er, ambassadorship! Good on them, and good on you.

And it's never too late to get your kisser into Bass Player. :o)
