Weak A string in A D G C tuning

To collectively answer questions:

1.
I tried 130, 135, 140, 145 and jumped to 160 as I hoped to improve sound by increasing string diameter
Well, It did not
It's not about the volume, as I can modify PUP height and I can as well extend pole pieces with small round magnets.
It's about tembr. There's no punch in it. It's slow volume increase instead of sudden one

2.
Zip tie on a headstock increases the bending angle and thus the intonation. Leo back then did not made an angled headstock so almost nobody does it. There's not enough room to put round plate style string retainer, so a zip tie :)
You can repair many things with it

However it's not about farting out or playing below speaker possibility. We hear mostly harmonics anyway. I can hear the same issue with Bose QC25 headphones.

Next question:
Is this possible that pick ups are tuned for frequency of 41Hz minimum or that makes no sense?
No, unless there is a short in the pickups they should reproduce the lows just fine- in a passive pickup the low-end response is generally pretty much flat, it’s just the highs and mids where the character is. That string will have very little information where the peak of the pickup frequency response is (in the high midrange), so its attack will sound duller than the higher strings.

With notes that low, even the first few harmonics of the note are probably rolled off as many full-range bass speakers start rolling off around the second harmonic of a low E. Also the sensitivity for typical full-range bass speakers is the highest in the midrange area so even if your cabinet has some response down in the actual subs it’ll likely be easily overpowered in the mids that that A string has relatively little of (and those Boss headphones are probably also rolling off before that region too).

Listen to demos of most 34” scale 5 strings and I suspect you’ll hear similar differences when the players go from E to B strings, it’s just a short-coming of the scale length and low notes. My 35” 6 string has a noticeably better B string response, and basses like Dingwalls with 37” B strings are even better still

Hey sir. 160 is fine for A string, assuming you are using a 34 scale bass, you are getting around 43 pounds of tension which is perfect!
Unfortunately anything below B id recommend looking at 35 scale length basses, which the majority of 5 strings are.
I use a 160 gauge for my G# spector euro, 35 scale, and it sounds great!
Also, did you get a setup on it? might be a quick fix, goodluck
