Were you a metalhead in high school?

I was. Sitting in the back of the class, smoking cigs outside, jean jackets with backpatches. I even put Cliff Burton as my name on the school bus, and I didn't even play bass back then. High school still sucked though

I was a late 90s metal kid, slipknot and korn shirts chains and flannels. I still like metal and everything but i don't dress the part anymore the fashion part is pretty lame.

Yup, highschool was 1984-1988. Metallica, Dokken, Motley Crue, Maiden, Mercyful Fate.

I graduated in 95. Quite a few Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera and Slayer fans at my school. I was not one of them. I did make fun of them a bit, mostly because I was sometimes a jerk as a teenager.

At that point in my life, I generally referred to metal as "I hate my Dad music". Ironically, I do listen to a bit of metal these days. Sometimes I listen to Slayer just because it's mixed so well. Andy Wallace is the man.

Still in High School was a total Metalhead two or three years back. Not anymore though. I still listen to some but 'm so much more open about my music nowadays.

Class of '82 and, musically, I was the same kind of old fart.

Actually, when I was in my mid- to late-thirties I satrted getting more into several genres of music, including metal.

In high school, I was into Rush (still am.) I didn't become a metalhead until college. I discovered Metallica in 1986 and that opened the door to Megadeth, Slayer, Death Angel, Exodus, Anthrax, Testament, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, and too many others to name here. I don't listen to much of that stuff anymore, but it sure was fun at the time, and I saw a lot of those bands play at small clubs.

Yep I was a metal head in HS. Metallica mostly. But just to balance it out I was a freak for Pink Floyd and Zepplin which was kind of strange in my HS.

I listened to a lot of METAL in HS (graduated in 90')... Maiden, Priest, Dokken, DIO, Crue, Scorpions, OZZY... but I also listened to Floyd, the Dead, The Cure, Smiths, REM, Violent Femmes, Sex Pistols, Tom Petty, AC/DC, Van Halen, Zepplin, U2, SRV, Janes Addiction, lots of Oldies & Motown... so on and so on.

I've always liked many types of music at the same time... never to be held down by one style. I still find myself listening METAL... as well as many other types of music (except for country... ).

So I guess my answer is yes, no, kind-of, maybe...
