Were you a metalhead in high school?

I was, but never dressed the part. Mostly jeans and a t-shirt, which is still common. I also listened to a bunch of other stuff, but metal was number one. I am more of an indie/acoustic guy now, but I still like metal.

I was for the first year, but just wore t-shirts here and there. I don't listen to metal at all today.

The metalheads I know have poor hygiene, disgusting hair, have their music up way too loud that it makes you deaf, have no respect for authority, others or themselves, are close minded and wear too tight of clothes. So yeah, they annoy me.

More of a classic rock than a metal head kinda guy.

as that was popular in the mid-late 90s same with rap-metal (lim bizkit and Hed PE) actually I still listen to Hed PE, Broke and the S/T album are still in rotation. good cds

weird because metal is a genre that borrowed from so much, I don't like close minded metal heads who call you out for liking other things they are pricks.

Luckily enough the metal group in my school is some of the most open minded musicians I know. I openly talk about listening to jazz and blues and they consider it. Albeit they talk about metal too much

In fact i saw a bunch of metal band t shirts at a Victor Wooten concert i saw. Problem with metal is that a lot of fans are too close minded even though 99% of their idols listen to other genres.

I'm not a hardcore metal head I still keep the hygiene in tact so do most metal heads I meet. they just look dirty

Nah, the only metal stuff i listened to was Mr. Bungle, Faith No More and Primus. Other than that it was jazz and psychedelia all the way
