What album has kept you alive?

So I'm horribly depressed - my father died, we were supposed to scatter ashes on the ocean today but weather is bad, it's my birthday and he's not here, etc.

So I need music today.

I asked my wife, 'Slayer or ambient music'? (I haven't finished my coffee yet)

I picked Aerosmith Rocks (the first album I stole from my sister when I was a kid)

It worked, it rocks, full volume with Beats headphones, it rocks today.

My question is, what music has kept you going when the going is hard? All suggestions welcome

After the neighbors wake up I will be grabbing a PBass and need to play loud today.

I'll probably come back and edit my post but The Who............Who's Next is a good one for me. There are many individual songs that keep me alive but for a whole album, that's a tougher call for me to make.

If it's a need an outlet, I go for Sonata Arctica's "The Collection." It's angry, loud, fast, but still uplifting enough that it provides the outlet for the emotion without dragging me down deeper like darker stuff would.

If it's a "Jesus, come on, just throw me a bone" religious mood, We The Kingdom's "Live at the Wheelhouse". SOS and Dancing on the Waves in particular.

In other moods, heck, usually Enya.
