DI = Direct Input - Like a DI Box, or a Direct Out on the back of a bass amp

DI IS Direct Injection... younger players started calling input, but it was started as injection.

Acronyms are great if they are commonly used and understood. Otherwise they border on inside jokes - funny to only a few. So keep the good ones coming, and the obscure ones obscure.

which ones are the good ones? is dtf a good one? how about fyyff? either of those may be obscure to you (or not). per the op most of these are obscure to them.
