oh, I wasn't concerned with dive, it's the position of the neck due to no upper horn, the nut will be further away, longer left arm extension, and the strap peg is at an angle so the strap might slip off unless you use straplocks.

DeArmond Pilot DLX 4 in mahogany.
It's been hanging in one of my local guitar shops for months and I never gave it a second glance. Then yesterday I called in and a guitarist I know (that does a bit of tech-ing for them) handed it to me. I was amazed how light it was, I guess about 8lbs, and how nice it felt and how well it played. I almost bought it on the spot but decided to do a bit of Googling first and discovered it is the top of the range model (neck through).
It comes with a good quality gig bag and is a very good price (compared to the one on Ebay). If it is still there next week when I go in I might just buy it even though I don't need any more basses! But when did GAS take any notice of need.
I have read that they are 35" scale but it really didn't feel like it.

I am GASing bad for el cheapos. I think because they are more attainable at the moment. The six string SX Jazz bass has been singing like a siren to me. Also a big toss up with SX, Jay Turser, and other knock offs of a strat or tele. Think I may be leaning towards tele I love strats played a tele two times at a guitar shop but they have been calling my name since I started guitar something about them and I can't put my finger on it.
I have a Barefaced One 10 on order and have to wait until the beginning of February. I have a Berg NV115 and CN112 but wanted something significantly smaller than the CN to carry up and down stairs to practice. My wife used to hate bass amps because they were so huge (think a Peavey 2-15). Now she doesn't mind them as much.
Gassing for bass #13 haven't decided on one yet still hunting, Spector Legend is being one I am considering

I'd really like a new Fender 100T and the 610 cabinet to go with it. Both in oxblood, of courses.
BUT, I AM NOT GOING TO BUY ANOTHER AMP.
Don't need it, no place to put it, and spending $3,000 on one would be crazy.
It is the best sounding amp I've played thru in a long time though.

I returned to the guitar shop today to look again at the DeArmond Pilot DLX and it has gone.
I young kid bought it as his first bass, he got a lot of bass for his money (actually his grandparents bought it for him). I am relieved that I now don't have to make the decision and pleased for him.
I have decided (post New Years Resolution) that I am going to rotate my basses a lot more than I have done previously!
