What are your "Always On" effects?

BBE OptoStomp and PBDDI are always on. The BSW comes close 'cause I use for a lot of different things.

Diamond Bass Compressor. Adds a lovely fatness and clarity to my tone while also allowing me to switch between various playing styles (fingers, slapping, tapping, pick) without having to make tremendous EQ/volume changes.

EDIT: Forgot to mention my [SFX] Micro-Thumpinator. Not absolutely necessary in the studio but it makes a tremendous difference live!

My JHS Bass Bomb Boost is always on, unless I don't feel like hooking it up. So Is My Big Muff. I leave it with the volume all the way up and the sustain down so I can get a good, tube like, touch sensitive distortion.

Yup! The BBE Opto Stomp is really nice. I used to own one, then I sold all my effects pedals to get the Boss GT-6B multi-effects, then I sold that to go back to single pedals. After a lengthy research process of trying to find a new and different compressor to go with, I just couldn't find anything I liked better than the OLD VERSION of the BBE Opto Stomp. So I've now bought that pedal twice.

Always on is only my Behringer BDI-21 for now, probably add a chorus or ocatver to that as well.

Additional pedals: Marshall JH-1 Jackhammer, Boss TU-2, and i'm going to add a Joyo Ultimate Octave Fuzz/Octave Up pedal.

Do you use any effects at all?

I've got a rack-mounted multi unit that I goof off with at home - solos and experimenting. But, I don't use it in a live or practice setting. Use the tuner on it more than anything. I used to work on the road, it came in handy then for practicing. I love the sound I get from my head and cab, gives me everything I want. Haven't really had the need, or desire, to throw anything else in the mix.

Since we are talking about this again, I have a slight change.

100% of the time - Submarine Designer, still flipping them switches, but I usually keep it set to SUB (original Submarine setting).

@ 90% of the time - Schism, with all other effects its 2 loops, turned off and on often. I mention the Schism again because lately I've been running a clean signal, a lot, and I just shut off its master switch when I do. But, when I use any of the other effects (dirt, delay, octave, etc...), or parallel blend two different clean signals, the Schism is on the whole time, of course.

Fuzzrocious rat king on low gain setting into an eventide mod factor with a very subtle chorus setting it really thickens the od for me. This my always on with my band.

When I'm jammin at home it's usually a phaser or flanger.
