Lakland Skyline Glaub DPLE II
I hope to see it early next week.

either a 5-string atk or a 5-string lakland

I gotta tell you, I had the SAME EXACT issue. 5-string ATK (in a color I didn't like, but it was much less) or a Lakland 55-02.

Personally, I'm going with a 55-02. It costs more, yeah, but for what I want (black finish, maple neck, able to sound very aggressive but also versatile, and most importantly, W-I-D-E string spacing) it just fits in more.

The ATK305 has a 16.5 mm spacing, apparently, which to me just doesn't work. Seems like the opposite of what the ATK is claiming to be (Which is in essence the opposite of the SR)

I'm interested in the Traben Array Bootsytronics or the Yamaha Shehann. More so the traben because of the fat-bastard pups, the price is good on both at my local shop. Whats pushing me towards the bootsy is the translucent black on the maple top versus the fugly turquoise of the shehann..........

I think for the money the traben is a good quality bass, I need to play it to see how it sounds & feels...........:hyper:

Have not been able to find it so probably have the following built: a custom '53 Fender 4 string Style: light swamp ash, OLY White body, tort guard, single coil (maybe a Lindy Fralin or SF 1/4 pounder...) w/ a EBONY board (1/5/8th nut width) tele style head stock...

Would love the instrument to be in the 8.7 lb or less range.

I love my CIJ Fender '51 (8.7lbs) re-issue but DO NOT like the SLAB body diggin into my sternum... Like the color scheme of Oly white/tort with a darker fretboard but am looking for the brighter Ebony over rosewood in this area...oh yeah, will have it string through on the bridge (where's that confounded bridge...?????)

Fender USA 75' reissue jazz w/ rosewood, I have located two USA 75 reissues- natural/ ash body and Lake Placid Blue/ alder body. Which one???!!! I'm struggling with deciding which one to buy...both are out of state so i can't my mitts on either one for a test drive.

And...a Fender p-bass in shoreline gold w/ maple board.
