What Bass Has The Most Growl

This one snarls pretty good.

In all seriousness (yeah right), Warwicks really do have a nice natural growl to them, it doesn't have much to do with the MECs cuz mine growls nicely and I run a set of Bart's. Come to think of it, my Dean has Bart's and it has some growl to it too. Maybe it's my playing style too, I use a tight aggressive attack with both pick and fingers. Hit the strings with a lot of finger/pick and make it sing. FYI, I play with med high action and I run the p'ups up a bit high to capture that attack.

Jazz style basses, MM style Basses, Spectors, even Rics too. Roscoes, Ken Smiths, Brubakers. the list can go on and on.

My Rickenbackers had good growl, tho my 04 4003 had a lot more than the rest. It had a neck like a tree. Music Man basses are famous for that capability, too. My fretless Precision has more growl than any other bass I've owned, tho, but it's very heavy and the pickup is very sensitive, so I'm sure that helps.
Of course there are other factors to increasing that growl, like the setup, the strings, amp and effects.
