Has anyone tried the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale? It tastes like it's got bourbon in it. Quite interesting.
All this talk about cask aged brews got me on sort of a mini-quest lately for some good ones. So far I've done Sam Smith's Yorkshire Stingo which I thoroughly enjoyed. I just got some Innis & Gunn Rum Cask Ale. I'm looking for others now.
A friend left some Franziskaner filtered wheats in my fridge. I really don't get the whole filtered wheat beer thing but I hate to waste 'em, soooo...I'll have to drink 'em. He also left me most of a bottle of Glenlivet so that makes up for the lost cool points.

Not too bad, can't really taste as much spice or pumpkin as heavier pumpkin ales. Schlafly's still reigns supreme.

Last night I had a couple of Oskar Blues G'Knights. Liked it a lot. Tonight I just got in from playing an early gig and am about to pop a Pike's Extra Stout. Been enjoying some Octoberfests like Sam Adams and Ayinger Octoberfest as well. Cheers.......
It tastes like a very run of the mill milk stout until the after taste kicks in - very boozy and hot, and you can definitely feel it - 10% abv will hit ya.
Homebrew Russian imperial stout. Not quite in season outdoor temperature wise, but testing it out to see if it's on par for an upcoming competition. Tastes great although the carbonation is a tad weak.
Funny, one of my friends is doing the exact same thing for a homebrew competition in St. Genevive, MO....
I'm doing the River City Rodeo, which my homebrew club hosts. I have a few beers I'm entering, but trying to decide which to bring. I have an ESB, tripel, 2 different old ales, and the RIS to consider.

Stone has been bottling Double Bastard Ale for a long time. Its a damn good beer!
Whoah, those sound pretty trippy. Never had a bourbon porter, never smoked+bourbon. Used to like bourbon barrel stouts, but tired myself of the flavor. College years of chugging Jack Daniels probably didn't help.
