Great Lakes Oktoberfest great beer, usually everything from Great Lakes Brewery is great.

Some people think there are two major personality types, Type A and Type B. One sees the 1/2 glass of beer as half full. The other sees the 1/2 glass of beer as half empty. Me - I'm a Type C personality. I see that 1/2 glass of beer as half way to the NEXT glass!

Got a bunch of those in my fridge right now. I'm typically not an IPA fan, so I thought I'd start with Lat. 48 and try and move on up. It's a pretty bland IPA, IMO.

Flying Dog Horn Dog Barley Wine style.

I am a huge fan of high alcohol content malty beers, however if the alcohol is too noticeable I don't like drinking it. At 10.2% this was VERY smooth and full flavored.

Followed it up with some Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale because after 2 my brain was dancing with delight

I love barley wines and Flying Dog makes a great one. Have you tried Weyerbacher's Blithering Idiot? 11.1% of pure awesomeness.

Yeah I wasn't to impressed by it. I can get a sixer of ranger for a buck or two less.

Here's my favorite Oktoberfest beer...Hacker Pschorr. I also enjoy Ayinger's Oktoberfest beer.

For my brother's bachelor party we went down to Delaware, and the highlight of our trip was going to the Dogfish Head Brewery for a Tour/Tasting, as well as the Brewpub they have there.

Got to try a lot of great beers. At the Brewpub they had a beer called Death Metal, which I felt compelled to try for several reasons.

An Imperial Stout with hints of coffee and vanilla, and a bit of a bitter taste to it. I love me a good dark beer and this did not disappoint. Some of my friends found it too bitter, but if you're into that kind of thing, I recommend it.
