Not feeling this so far. Maybe a lil too much chocolate.

My wife brought home a bottle of Sam Adams Infinium today.

$20 for a 750ml bottle.

It was ok, but overly carbonated hence the champagne comparisons. Somewhat fruity and flowery. It's very smooth but the carbonation is so strong that it burns your tongue. In my/our opinion, the carbonation is the deal breaker. We are both glad we tried it, but it's going to be one and done for both of us.

I see Charleville! That's one thing I miss about Missouri - awesome local beer (and wine). The Box of Chocolates is like drinking a 10% ABV Tootsie Roll :hyper:

That was one of the highlights of the night for sure. I was really excited about that, Sexual Chocolate, and Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti because I love the other variations. Brooklyn Chocolate is a longtime favorite, and that was good, too.

To be honest besides Box of Chocolates there really weren't any mindblowing beers here. A few of the stouts were pretty good but after a while they all started to run together.

Lagunitas Maximus IPA - Fantastic!! A hop-head's delight with a solid and complex structure to make it more than just 1-dimensional bitterness. This is easily among my favorite IPAs to date.

Who ever is responsible for choosing the final recipes at Lagunitas is a God. I've now had 6 (maybe more) different beers from this brewery, and EVERY one is just spectacular.
