Beer generally makes people happy, fat people, thin people, tall people, short people, ugly people, good looking people, smart people, and morons too.

Only if you overdo it regularly and you are not active enough to burn the excess calories.
I eat cake and drink beer, but I'm not fat at all... I wonder why? ;-)

I knew what I was getting into when I bought a beer called Hopageddon by Napa Smith. I just thought maybe there'd be a better balance to it.
I'm a hop fiend. I'd be surprised if Hopageddon would have any remote balance. Then I'd have another.
Ive had some crazily hopped brews that were more intense hop-wise than the Hopageddon, but still had a better drinkability to them.
True, Im not a hop fiend, but I do like hops. Stone Ruination IPA and Lagunitas HopStoopid are both much more satisfying.
Eh, not every can be a winner, but sadly this was the first one I actually had to pour out, because no one would drink it. Of course, no one else at the party enjoyed craft beer as much as I do.

I dont know if it was due to too much hops, or if it was more a matter of not being well balanced.
I'll see if I can find it on my next beer run. Not sure when that will be. I have so much beer.
IMO Good, but not excellent. Link Removed gives it a pretty high score, but I thought it fell short on the back-end. First sip is very tasty - rich/fruity but balanced ... but then there's not a lot of aftertaste.

I just cracked open my 330 ml bottle of chimay tripel. It's been poured into a pint glass. This is my first "tripel", let alone belgian beer in general (aside from perhaps the whitbier). That being said, I like it, there's some off "pungent" flavour to it that I can't quite explain, some peppery notes, and some floral qualities. The head died off quickly, there's just a bit of foam at the top now, and the beer itself is a murky golden colour.
Quite the complex and enjoyable brew, I'd recommend it to anyone. Just sip slowly - the 8% abv is WELL hidden under all that flavour.

Gonna have me some Rogue Chipotle Ale tonight with some Mexican food. Looking forward to it!
Stone released two variations of their Smoked Porter:
Chipotle and Vanilla Bean.
Both are good, but the vanilla bean was better, IMO.

It's pretty darn good. Hoppy enough to fall comfortably into the IPA category, but not an all-out, one-dimensional hops assult. Nice malt structure underneath with a slightly nutty flavor. It hasn't supplanted my favorit IPAs from Lagunitas or Stone, but it's nice alternate. (7.1%ABV, $10.99/6-pk @ local liquor store).
