Looking at my 5000, in heirloom quality flame koa, I say do not go with Teal. Tigers Eye or the other for sure. This Teal will surely pass.

How come your Carvin's Sunset burst doesn't look like the one in the picture I have on this post? Is it because you didn't get the deep triple stain process? Also, I thought "burst edges" weren't available with a "burst" finish.
Another vote for teal burst!

Yeah it's very similar. The only difference being the quilted maple. Nice to see you've got yourself another beautiful Carvin! That LB75 is treating me real nice.
Mycoo,yes I got this bass before Carvin offered the triple deep stain process.I wondered the same thing until I thought about it.
Flamed maple can vary quite a bit, and each piece will take stain a little differently, so I would look at as many different pictures as you can find of each finish. That teal colored guitar really looks great, BTW, and would likely be my choice. 
Thanks again for all the responses.. I have to think a lot about this. Teal is definitely a looker but I do believe it has it's downsides like some have mentioned.
Would Tigers Eye look good with a maple board, black pick guard, and gold hardware? What do you think of the black burst edges?
