what color won't you buy?

Come on TB! Color has far too much influence on tone to be chosen strictly on eye appeal. My country band pretty much cries out for the pure tones of a white bass. My rock band needs the broader spectrum of a burst.
Currently I'm in no project that calls for a black tone or I'd dutifully go get one.

I am not real big on sunburst. I own black, red, natural, white, lake placid, sea foam green... gunmetal grey... I just passed on a sunburst VM my buddy was selling .

Given the choice, I'd go with sunburst/tort unless it was a slab, then either blonde, butterscotch or white. How boring am I?

I have a white bass for church, a burst and some nice dark reddish-stained ash basses that round out my Ibanez collection.

I think I'm through with buying and selling basses for a while, but the one color I'd avoid is transparent, as in a clear/lexan bass.

Southern and Western Gothic Americana, classic Goth, Hell Billy, Death Metal, punk & post punk NYC to Montreal, all black.
Only color I won't buy is pink. A 15% super light pink is OK if the bass is a masterpiece of simplicity.

I think they look pretty cool. I'd rock one, especially at church or in a cover band that was heavy on the Jimmy Buffet. (I have nothing against making money while drunk people sing along...)

No interest in anything w/ Fender 3TSB...way too overdone.
There is a used P Bass locally for sale (USA, sweet player, flats, RW, decent price) that I am in love with, but it is black...I cannot bring myself to buy a black guitar...so boring. I feel like a moron for rejecting it for the color but I really don't want a black guitar.

I would not turn down a forest green G&L L2500 with either maple or rosewood. Pretty versatile idiom wise...

There are no automatic dealbreaker colors, and a lot of it depends on the context of the model as well as the specific shade, but I will rarely gravitate towards black over other options. Also, most 3-tone bursts look silly to me.
