I'd swear it was that hot visiting northern Mexico when I was a kid in the 80's.
I fully believe it. I've never experienced heat like that before or since. I wouldn't want to be there.
TIL that the original Twilight Zone included at least one 60 minute episode!... ‘I Dream Of Genie’.

TIL that "pill bugs (aka potato bugs or roly polys) are known as isopods, which means 'the legs are alike.' Isopods are not insects, but crustaceans - land-dwelling relatives of crabs and lobsters."
Be skeptical of those in positions of power. Question them, challenge them, provoke them...
I actually learned this yesterday from @beans-on-toast: Borax is used to make an oxide layer on aluminum when making capacitors. Excellent for making laundry smell nice as well as clean. It’s good for killing mold.
