I’ve been talking about this since I was in HS...I was friends with a guy who left HS at lunch time to go to a program called BOCES, in NY.
The last time I was back to my hometown, I drove by a Huge, red warehouse with his name on it!

Today I was reminded at work what I learned in the Army a long time ago:

Are you a “harbinger of failure”?
“These harbingers of failure have the unusual property that they keep on buying products that are taken from the shelves,” says MIT marketing professor Catherine Tucker, co-author of a paper detailing the study’s results.
Significantly, Tucker adds, these star-crossed consumers can sniff out flop-worthy products of all kinds.
“This is a cross-category effect,” Tucker explains. “If you’re the kind of person who bought something that really didn’t resonate with the market, say, coffee-flavored Coca-Cola, then that also means you’re more likely to buy a type of toothpaste or laundry detergent that fails to resonate with the market.”

Well then, today I learned that apparently there are people that want their weather in something other than Kelvin. I guess it takes all kinds...
(Many years ago) I used Kelvin at work but couldn't relate to it despite using °C in everyday life, I just punched the values into an equation to get an answer.
There are perfectly good scientific reasons to use it but that ^ is not one of them.

I’ve used “C“ in all of my thermodynamics equations—perfect gas, Otto cycle, etc—but never in real life.
Rankine (R) would make more sense in the US, but still, ...
