When I got out of be this morning, I had no idea of how large some species of earthworm can grow in the right conditions. This five-footer was found in extremely rich forest soil in the foothills of the Sumaco Volcano in Ecuador. They grow even larger in the clay soil along streams in Victoria, Australia - up to 9.8 feet!

Invalid Link Removed. 35 million people on the planet are afflicted with this disease. Hope springs eternal.
I will caution that every disease has been cured many times over in mice.

In reality, some animal models of human disease are pretty good. Others are terrible but all we have. Animal models of human brain diseases have a rather dismal track record.

Old mother Hubbard, sad to say, must be truly clueless …

New shoes! No doubt, that'll fix 'im … (He's a bleedin' dog).

The dog was laughing.
He was smoking his pipe.
The dog sat in a chair.
The dog stood on his head.
He was playing the flute.
He was riding a goat.
He was feeding her cat.
He was dancing a jig.
He was reading the news.
The dog was spinning.
(Sure giveaway: ref. Exorcist)
He was dressed in his clothes. (Cross-dressing dog!)
The dog said, Bow-wow.

And other talents the dog supposedly had were:
He could read, he could dance,
He could sing, he could write;

Sadly, it's no cure. It does however look as though memory loss can be halted and perhaps memory can even be potentially reestablished. We'll take it, small mercies, precious memories:)

This is all I'm going on. … We'll see :)
