I've never collected guitars, basses, or any musical equipment/gear.
When I was a teenager I collected lots of albums (cassettes) but grew out of that by the end of college.

I've always been a collector, collected coins when I was a kid then went into tube radios, tube console radios, tube ham radios, tube transmitters, oh yeah, tube amplifiers, tube hifi equipment and some SS stuff too. I have a 1937 RCA 816K console radio with 16 tubes, it has two 6L6 power tubes that puts out 25 watts, that was a lot of power back then, was RCA's top of the line radio, has all the shortwave bands too, it was restored before I bought it and works and sounds great, kind of like a jukebox, plenty of bass, in fact it has an extra bass amplifier in it, was one of the best in it's day. Collect basses too and amps, LP's, 45's, stereo equipment it's a sickness

I don’t really collect anything but I have 3 motorcycles in the garage in various states of roadworthiness.
That's completely understandable considering where you are from. Of his more well know fiction, both set in colonial America, is one is a drunken romp and the other glorifies being a bully. His non-fiction is dry and uninteresting IMO. He is highly regarded here, just not by me.
all my collections are purely on accident, which is how i think it’s supposed to be. brush pens and mechanical pencils. honestly just art supplies in general.

band t shirts. i maybe have over 100 from different shows i’ve been to.
tattoos? i never considered it a collection but i’m certainly covered in them and i’ve gotten them from a bunch of my favorite artists all across north america. i was actually supposed to get something from Brian Thomas Wilson in Portland the week quarantine was announced.
also human skulls. i’m half not kidding.

I can try. I moved last year and most of it’s all boxed up somewhere. I failed to keep the titanium plate I recently had extracted a few months back.

Records and books.... although really i don’t collect so much as accumulate!
When i was 14 i had a morning paper route and one of my customers had a detached garage with the outside walls and double doors completely covered in Alabama license plates beginning with the first stamped metal plates in 1915 up into the 30’s. He was a former prison employee who ran a plate stamping shop and his shed was covered in defective and excess plates he found in storage when he took over the shop. They were destined for the dump so he snagged them up and used them to cover his garage.
I don’t actively collect but i’ve got a few rare fire spewing devices we are forbidden to discuss here. I’ve also got some very old cameos carved from alabaster and ivory that belonged to my mom, a pocket watch that belonged to my great great granddad and a few glass eyes, one with an American flag on it, that belonged to my papaw (great grandad). He also gave me my first pocket knife, which i still have. He got it with Beechnut chewing tobacco coupons and when he gave it to me he made me promise to not tell my mom and dad where i got it. To this day it is still our secret.
