What do you Eat before gig

That seems to be the lead singer's and the guitarist's preferred dinner. It has been so bad some evenings that the drummer and I are messing up because we are choking. We have thought about getting both of them the following to help the rest of us out:

Very little. Before a gig I have a mild case of the butterfies that suppresses my appetite. During a break, when I calm down, I typically order a burger with something if the venue has a kitchen.

What's the best pre-gig meal for metal?

Raw steak?

No iron supplement?

Meat and vegetables. If carbs, I eat a sweet potato, not any kind of grain (bread, pasta, rice, corn). Wheatbelly is real thing.

Yeah I got a gut and type 2 diabetes so I should really get away from the grains. Beer is a little bit harder to stop.

Once upon a time, I went up the street to a bar that featured venison chili on Fridays, and that was the day. I had some. Pretty good.

I very nearly missed the downbeat. Luckily a sprint from bathroom to stage was fast enough to make it, but it was close, and while I didn't feel fantastic on stage, the worst was, well, behind me.

Ever since then, I take fewer chances before the gig.

Last night it was vegetarian coconut curry, since the band decided to eat together. I can skip the meat until later. But on the way home I grabbed a microwave croissant egg & cheese at the rest area vending machine, which is becoming a habit.

Generate I like to eat food. And some beer. Liqour makes for a bad set. Not too much beer either. I eat regular food but that's before I go to a venue and hardly ever play within the first 2/3 hours of doors opening.
