I have a pair of Neo b210s and have nothing but nice things to say about them. By far my favorite cabs I've ever owned, including Ampeg, Peavey, SWR, Joe's Sound, Bag End, and others I can't remember I'm sure.

What do you know about Avatar bass cabinets

Goliaths are nice but my back has said over and over that dragging that one around week after week is not worth the tiny amount of better low-end. I get enough of low-end with my Avatar cab.
Not to belabor but there are just SO many other factors in play with what he describes beside the depth of the cab. The degree of difference that he describes is a bit dramatic. But I just don't think you're going to have any issues with your low end extension that less than a couple inches will would make a major difference...
Bergantino is held in high regard here at T.B., their 410 cabs are 15-1/2" deep...their 210 cabinets are 12-1/2" deep...their NV series is 15" deep.
The Ampeg SVT 810 is 16" deep.
One of the reasons I went from Eden cabinets to Avatars was that Eden's cabinets are 18-1/2" in depth, Avatars are 16-1/2" in depth.
I found the 18-1/2" deep cabs extremely hard to transport and pick-up.
And putting one in the back seat of most passenger cars can be a challenge too.
Unless your looking for your Avatar cab to sound like a sub-woofer I think you'll be pleased with the lows your gonna get after the "new speaker break in period" neos seem to need.
Depending on the room we're playing in I never run my GK MB-500 head with the bass knob much over 12:00, when I use my Ampeg PF-500 head I'll never run the bass knob over 1:00.
Plenty of bottom with the mids and highs to cut through the band.
Here's my first B410 with blond tolex 8ohm neo . Very well packed , quick shipping and my first impression is after looking over the cab is ....Wow this is a work of art very well built. I will order my second cab next month don't know if i should go with the 410 or something else to combo with this cab , probably another 410 . when I get time to test run this beauty I will post the outcome till then thanks to all who have helped me with all my nooby questions . Jody

Jealous!!! I'm going to be ordering a 212 here in the next few weeks! I'm had narrowed it down to a few options on the tolex, but seeing your pictures of the blond convinced me to go with the blond!

Congrats, JNUMME. I have two of the 8 ohm 410 NEOs and on occassion stack 'em together like an 810. However, one 410 is always more than adequate tone and volume wise. I love 'em to death. I really doubt you'll be disappointed.
Ok after reading the article in bass player magazine I think my second cabinet will be the Neo B212 and then stack my B410 on the top . Sounds like a great combination WHAT DO U GUYS THINK ? Anyone have this set up with the neo's ? I'm will be using either my Hartke LH1000 head or my Ampeg SVT classic but haven't decided yet till I try it them out with the band to see what works best.

Check out any one of the many threads about mixing speaker cabs. Not saying that certain combos cant work, and that they wont sound good. That being said, two matching cabs give you predictable results. Since you cant return that 212 if it doesn't give you the combined sound you want I would recommend getting a second 410 just like you have, if it has the sound you like.
I use to own an Avatar neo 410-212 stack. I ran it with a SVTII. I thought the 410-212 combo played nice together and didn’t suffer from some of the issues of running random mixed cabs. For one thing these cabs are identical, with the exception of the drivers. I thought they had a very similar voice. My opinion of the stack was different than the BP article, as I found the 410 to go lower and be a little more transparent. And the 212 had more color in the low mids. Having said that, if I had to do it again I would probably get matching cabs.

Well I have a mini version of this setup. I have a NEO210 and a 1x12Delta LF. I opted to not get the NEO 1x12 and get the ceramic version. It only 6-7 lb difference but the way the handles are placed it's still a breeze to transport. My 2 cents would be to get another B410. The 1x12 is a nice cab but I'm not as thrilled with the overall voicing of this cab compared to the 2x10, but this is just my personal preference. I've had very polarizing experiences with 12's.
Yeah after a mor reseach and you fellas opinions , i have to agree stuck to the b410, love the tone so two of them would together would surely be twicw as nice. Thanks.......
I just got a 8ohm NEO410 as well. Mine's not as pretty as yours, but sounds amazing (though not sure I'm a fan of the tweeter). I was planning on ordering a matching as well, but I noticed a slight rattling/buzzing noise from one of the drivers. Any one else have issues with this? I know some of the older models received similar complaints but I ordered from Dave without worry after having read so many good things. Now I'm concerned after going through the process to get it fixed there will be another issue down the road.
