What Do You Put In/On Your Pancakes?

ok ok

1. Pancakes
-In: i prefer a wholewheat mix, bit of vanilla, lemon juice and soy milk does something extra special.

-on: its a process, but go with it. Start with a big spoonful of plain, tart yogurt. (Good yogurt) Then cut up some berries; i prefer strawberries, but black or ras or whatever you like. Then a bit of crunchy granola and top off with (real) syrup...no need for another meal for at least a week. btw, before i catch grief, please notice i am indeed a texan...and try it before you criticize!

2. I've been away from tb for about 3 months and i'm shocked at how much has changed...i guess i don't notice the change as much when i'm around.

Best lunch in the world for camping/fishing: Smear a little jelly on leftover pancakes, roll up a leftover link sausage inside, stick em in a baggie in your pocket, and your ready to hit the woods or water with a heck of a lunch to look forward to.

At home, I keep it simple: Butter and syrup, and maybe blueberries.

When I go out to one of a few different favorite places, though, I'll get way-over-the-top pancakes once in a while. Here's a few from one menu (prepare for sugar shock):

Raspberry Oreo Flapjacks: oreo cookie crumb pancakes with raspberry vanilla cream and chocolate creme anglaise

Strawberry Banana Hotcakes: banana hotcakes with fresh bananas and strawberries and topped with fresh strawberry whip cream

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: lemon and ricotta pancakes topped with crushed ginger snap and brown sugar butter

Berry And Banana Cheesecake Flapjacks: fresh banana pancakes with graham cracker crumbs topped with warm vanilla creme and three berry coulis served with fresh bananas

White Chocolate & Caramel Covered Pretzel Pancakes: crushed pretzel coated pancakes topped with warm white chocolate cream and topped with buttery caramel

That actually sounds pretty damn good to me.
