What do you wear when you play gigs?

For country music I've got some long sleeved cowboy cut shirts with pearl snaps instead of buttons, and jeans. For hillbilly string band, same jeans with a long sleeved blue denim work shirt. for blues/r&r a short sleeve blue T shirt with the same jeans. For shoes, I wear what I wear every day, Timberland Pro Titan oxfords or whatever hiking shoes I've got at the time, it has been Merrells for the past couple decades, but after the slagging they took on a recent topic here about shoes and my current pair about to give up, I'm looking at other brands and have discovered sizing is no longer standard across brands.
I have your sister Limited edition Spector in the second pic. Mine is #1 of 7. What is yours?
All black, all the time. Black shirt, black jeans, black belt, black shoes, black socks.
I try to wear something distinctive, and I virtually always wear a hat and sunglasses. Heads with hats on them are more interesting to look at IMO, and sunglasses look cool. Sunglasses also act as an audience engagement multiplier, because if your head is pointed vaguely in someone's direction, they get the sense that you're looking at them. Plus, they can't see when you're watching the TV or something.
Sometimes I wear nothing but a sock pulled over the headstock.

These days it's a stylish shirt, sometimes with a waistcoat or jacket and hat. In my younger days I had a few very nicely designed and very flash hand dyed t-shirts that really stood out. There were also the jeans and t-shirt years in pubs but for weddings or such always a shirt and jacket. I did a six nights a week stretch in the cocktail bar of a five star hotel for a while and that was a black suit and bow tie gig. Dress for the gig and give them something to look at as well as listen to especially if they've paid to see you. Show them you care and try not to look like a punter.

Very nice, vintage, thrift store-ish. Rarely you see me in jeans unless they are white or black, and also layering them for a classic or vintage look. I dress very streetwear-ish mixed with the indie style of today. Mostly turtlenecks when I can with layering of a pattern vintage sweater.
On the shorts debate, I wear shorts but all my shorts are pattern shorts with wacky colors or other things, most of them are used from old Patagonia lines, I do have pleated pairs but they aren't really your typical looking shorts, they are more fancy, I also wear compression pants with them, and some kind of cowl neck.
I'm very into fashion, but to save peoples inanity I won't get deep into the names of the ideas of these fashion or the history of it.

I have my wrist band thumb support brace, orthotic arch supports, elastic strapping support for my plantar faciitis, shoulder brace, hip support, ankle bindings, jock strap, false teeth, hearing aids and a merkin. WW2 gas mask, hobnail boots, dungarees, MJ's fingerless gloves and Trump toupee.

Pretty tough joints. Not many prisons. Mostly old folks' retirement homes. Not Slipknot tribute, LOL, we play mainly Amish Bubblegum covers with some elevator mixed in. Depends on the joint.

Don't mind me, I just couldn't stop myself from replying.
This coming Friday afternoon: Black head-to-toe with a white tie (band "uniform"). Friday evening: Swing dance pajama party so, maybe, PJ's (should play one of my PJ basses, I suppose 
) but I'll wear a bathrobe, too. Left to my own devices (most gigs): button down shirt, not baggy jeans, sportscoat or suit separate jacket (I don't like to look like I just finished doing yard work) and these:
They're UIN shoes. Come in a bunch of styles. My wife got me these for my b'day this year. I now have 6 or 7 different pairs. Uber comfortable and seriously lightweight! Also, a regular fan saw us one night and commented to a band mate: "The band sounds great but I found Bill's shoes disturbing." My work here is done!
