P bass = "I didn't know what buy, so I got a Fender"
But my P bass isn't a Fender!
My bass says that I have more money than brains and/or talent.
And I don't have $$.... Or talent.... Or brains....
And I don't have $$.... Or talent.... Or brains....

yes some stereotypes are there for a reason but it dosent mean its correct.

P bass = "I didn't know what buy, so I got a Fender"
Black P bass = "I didn't know what to buy but I want to look ROCK"
White P bass = "I didn't know what to buy but I like Spandau Ballet"
Sunburst P bass = "I didn't know what to buy, and they were out of black ones"
Jazz bass = "They were all out of P basses, even sunburst ones"
Peavey T40 = "P bass electronics were too boring for me after working for NASA"
Stingray = "I didn't know what to buy, but I didn't want a black P bass"
Stingray 5 = "I wanted a thumbrest, but the P bass didn't have one"
6 string bass = "I figured 2 thumbrests are better than one"
EBMM Bongo = "I like BMWs and toilets"
Warwick = "I wanted a german bass, and they don't make P basses in germany"
Yamaha = "I couldn't afford a P bass"

Well of course it is! Everyone knows people who don't know what to buy get strats... It's all stereotype!
...cept for the bits about Jacksons and G&Ls
...and wishbasses...
Totally agree on the P bass thing lol. Didn't know what to buy for a first bass so I got a p bass. Didn't know what else to buy for a second bass so I got another p bass. Then I got jazz because all the other p basses at guitarcenter were in bad condition and weren't set up well.
