The bridge pickup on the P/J looks closer than usual to the P pickup. Any particular reason why?
Marcus, the green Sad you posted 2 pages back also had the bridge pu close to the neck pu. I guess it's just how Mr Sadowsky works!
How are you supposed to lug the rig around on the back of that bike?
thats e-z....a good case and lots of bunges....now the amp and the 4x10's ...well thats another story...

I think that it looks that way because I have it set up in 'reverse P' configuration. That bass has the universal route, and I have a second pickguard (in mint) that is set up 'regular P', which moves the pole-piece for the B-E-A strings above the pole-piece for the D-G (and thus makes the distance between the neck and bridge pickups greater, on the whole).

Don't harleys come with a plow hitch? So you can attach a trailer....How are you supposed to lug the rig around on the back of that bike?
GAS? When I spied several Peavey Custom Shop Cirrus basses at the Bass Player Live event in New York a few weeks ago. From what I'd gathered about the Cirrus, I knew it'd be my kind of instrument in terms of looks, feel and tone. It's just that I'd have preferred one (or two) with an elegant paint job (rather than the natural wood finish), plus maybe a few extra custom goodies...
These Cirruses (Cirri?) were just beautiful! I prowled the entire exhibt floor several times - but kept coming back to gaze at the Cirrus collection time and again. Now I can't get 'em out of my mind. And I can't afford 'em right now!
At least I know what I'm gonna get when I'm ready to add a couple new instruments to my household...

i have bin gasing really bad for a Ritter Roya 6er (unlined) fretless with Tremolo System i have no idea if he makes one but i really really want to find out.
Any particular reason why you wanted the PU in 'reverse P'? How does it sound compared to the normal P?
I knew a guy who bought one the Q6 models with the Holoflash finish on it. You really have to see them in person before you buy one, as you could get one with a really wild pattern, or you could end up with a bass like his which looked rather naff and had next to no "flash".
The oddest thing was, I'm quite sure he had seen it before he bought it!
