After my trip to the Atlanta Bass Gallery yesterday, I've got an economy-size case of G.A.S. for the Dingwall Super P/J. What an incredible bass! The fanned frets make perfect sense. It was the most in-tune bass I've ever played. Way out of my price range (like I even have one!) and it had me thinking crazy thoughts, like.. do I really need three Reverends? Do I need any Reverends? I played a Reverend when I got home just to remind myself that all is well, but damn, that Dingwall is a special instrument.

My first bass G.A.S EVER is coming back to haunt me! HELP!
It all happened after listening to Anthem Pt 2 - Blink 182. Been a good 4-5 years since I heard the song. Raw ballsy P-Bass tone.

If only it was available in hot pink ^ and a tone knob...
G.A.S sure can suck sometimes...

I still want this.

i was inches away from having a benavente SCD 10 string ( 5 doubled). i actually had the order in, but i backed out before i sent the first check. i'm going to europe in december, then moving into a new place. figured i could use the extra cash

I'm not talking about "man,i wish i had that",
I'm talking about "and then, BAM!"

Still waiting for it to hit me, even browsing TB doesn't seem to give me a bad case of G.A.S. Probably because I'm fully content with the 2 bass and amp currently in my very small stable? But it seems a bit odd since most bassist on this board seem to consider 2 basses, low ender at that, as just a starting point.

Even watching well known bassist on youtube make me envy their abilities, yes, but not their bass guitar strangely enough. Maybe I need counseling?

I just checked out a co workers '60 Precision (all stock and naturally relic'd to hell). I'd sworn off of 4 string basses in favor of 5s but now I have GAS for a vintage Precision. Damn that thing played better than just about every bass I've ever played. Maybe because the finish was worn down on the neck the old fashined way? Or because the frets were so low it was nearly fretless-like? Or was it the MOJO??? Now to figure out a way to kill him and steal his bass in broad daylight...
