ROFL. About 30 years ago my band played at a Sigma Chi Sweetheart Ball in Palm Springs. Somebody kyped my pitch pipe. Never had one since.
And music stands.

Dang, that's another one I do. I should at least transfer them to the workbench....Having 50 broken cables in a box, that's every cable you've ever owned now broken and you lugged them around think you fix them one day.

Next you're going to tell me I can't use my mic stand that's been repaired in 8 different places with duct tape.![]()
I knew I made it as a musician when I had my own personal roll of duct tape.
That feeling is just the appetizer. You'll have the main epiphany when you get to the end of the roll; and remember, it's the journey, not the destination.![]()
When it does come to gear though, to me it seems like the mid-era stuff is the 'old guy' stuff. Things from the 80s in particular.
I know vintage instruments and amps can be cool, but what equipment just makes you look like an old guy?
Are you asking middle age women to identify themselves?I just got a mid 80s headless Cort bass, is that bad for a 40 year old? oh well.
If I was going to look at pictures of clothing styles, should an old guy look at GQ or something else? Should I dress like the guys in Rolling Stone? I really haven't paid attention the last 20 years or so. Any middle age women on this board want to add some advice?
