What gear makes you look old?

No dude, it's OK. For many musicians, duct tape is considered a permanent fix.

I knew I made it as a musician when I had my own personal roll of duct tape.

I'm an engineer in the US Navy. I have rolls of duct tape all over my workplace and house, a roll in the trunk of my car, and a few feet folded up MacGyver style in my wallet for emergencies. If it can't be fixed with duct tape, it probably needs to be totally replaced, period...

about my receding hairline...I tried cutting it really short as someone here recommended and found that I have a pointy head (Sheesh, going bald with a pointy head - I must have some nasty kharma). So anyways I gotta go back to Plan A (hat), at least until I can grow it long enough to do a comb-over. Comb-overs must be retro by now right?

Still open to hat suggestions...

Oh yeah, our guitarist who is in his late 50's uses one of those spring-loaded belt-mounted key things. Very janitorial. And our drummer is over 60 so the bar is set pretty low in my band.

You mean one of these?

Actually, your guitarist is the coolest one in the band. Every young hipster uses these to attach their keys. I'm using one right now. Oh, it's called a carabiner by the way.

That shirt youre wearing there, I love it! ;)

I was looking at that pic and said 'Hey, thats my band's shirt' so I thought, how do I know this guy. Then I remembered that we had made a trade for Wah/VOL pedals. Glad to see someone other than myself, mom, or gf sporting it!

Haha. It's definitely one of my favorite shirts. Always gets a reaction whenever somebody sees it.
