What genre are you?

Wasn't sure where to put this, move if necessary, just wondering what everyone considers their MAIN genre. For me it's jazz, maybe fusion as a second. I branch out from there. Curious what the poll results will be.

Basically if Grace Slick and Johnny Marr had a cute l’il baby and that baby was a dude who loves football and jazz drummers and thinks Sandinista is the best rock album and likes tequila and plays bass, that’s the genre in a nutshell.

Very low hours in Jazz and fusion. If I 'd have lived in South Florida instead of Jacksonville, I could have soaked up Cuban and reggae instead of Skynyrd and 38 Special. Not a lot of electric bass parts in classical, though I studied it as a piano student for years. No ambient.

Pretty much everything else I was called upon to play at one time or another. Which I would have done anyway, I needed the variety, and it's always been surprising to me in that something I learned in THIS music could also drop seamlessly into THAT music.

I’m all over the place. Currently I’m playing in a punk-influenced (but not entirely punk) originals band and another originals band that might be prog or “art rock” or…. I don’t know what the heck to call it.
