What happened to Hadrien Feraud?!

Two fishermen were watching a bucket of crabs. The one said, "Why don't ya have a lid? They can get out..." The other replied, "No, they never do, watch-" The two men watched as one crab put its claw on the edge, and started sliding up. At the same time, another crab grabbed the back leg of the climbing crab and pulled him back down. The morale: people put others down to make themselves feel better.

Not always. That's a blanket statement. If that were true, then people who say they don't like something wouldn't say they liked anything. We ain't crabs.

Bottom line he's a great player.
And a great guy as well.
So he was let go from a gig years ago. So what at this point. The fact that he got the gig, and subsequent others of equal caliber shows that as much as haters want to hate, he has undeniable skil/talant/technical ability that 99.99% of those here wish they could achieve.
Now, like anything else, music selection/style/groove and what not is subjective as hell. But again, the bottom line is the cat can flat out burn on levels we can only dream of.

I'm out of this. It's only going in circles really.....

Nobody is denying he's a great player, however years ago he did get fired for doing something stupid, but a couple of weeks ago he posted here denying he got fired for something and we have a 2 year old interview with the person that fired him directly contradicting what he posted. I think that's kind of bizarre, how about you?

Not liking and putting someone down are different. Its OK to say Hadrian style isn't your cup of tea but to say things like he did a dumb or stupid thing. Over and Over again. Also people are not defending him. They are defending what they think about him. Why cause we like the way he plays we have to hear over and over again why he was fired from JM band. OK you guys made your point. Your judging him for what he did from an article. OK we get the point but some of us like his playing. So we are defending our choices of playing and the related player who we like. Hadrian has his own life. He does what he does. We like the way he plays. Thats it.

I think the point you're missing here and why this thread is so long and still going on is that Hadrien posted in this thread in an attempt to attack another poster with a straight up lie. He got called on that and deleted his posts and after that many began attacking other posters because of what they thought was bashing you included as illustrated in this post. I mentioned earlier Hadrien could have just said, "yeah that was a dumb thing to do i.e. not turning down when I was told to.", end of thread, he comes out looking like a stand up guy, but nooooooo!

How many of us haven't told a white lie or sugar coated the truth for whatever reason? Maybe the guys embarrassed, or maybe he just doesn't want anyone to know the details. Whatever. I've lost jobs before and it's not a great feeling. I'm so glad that the internet's around to record your every word to be scrutinzed and judged for all eternity. Just to play devil's advocate, everyone's taking JM's word as gospel. How do you know he's not lying? Just sayin'. Anyhow, I'm taking my ball and going home.....oh, and this is exactly the reason (and the fact that I suck) why I didn't turn pro ;)

I personally think Hadrien is a talented bass player. But for people to get crazy towards other players and their opinion as to why they may not like his playing is no reason at all to call out a lynch mob.

It really makes some of his fans look not so kool.

His fans need to grow some logic and just face the fact that there is no bass player in the history of music who's playing every one likes. To think that because some one doesn't like Hadrien's playing doesn't make that person a bad person.

Isn't that a putdown?

:D

Hadrien losing the JM gig(it happens)was a build up of things taking place over a while. He did not get fired over a one time incident.

If you hired some one and they continue to do one thing or several things that you continue to ask them not to do, what would you do?

But what does one have to do with other?

Posting because you like him as a counter to being dismissed for what I'm sure most working musicians would considered a silly/ dumb issue accomplishes what? It makes about as much sense as repeatedly ignoring the context in this thread or even better, trying to shift the blame to others.

Think that doesn't perpetuate the conversation?

If any high profile bassist were in the same situation I'd think the same thing. It's a pretty clueless way to lose work. Do you disagree?

I have nothing to add to this thread pro or con to the original subject, but curiosity got the best of me on the Jada Pinkett clip...my God, that was F-awful.

a bit embarrassing maybe,but 'awful'?

Regardless...the good thing is that it most likely put some money in the pockets of the musicians ("hired guns") involved. HF included.
Good for them! :)

Because you couldn't follow directions from the people paying you? If so it was probably for the best.
:D

Playing devil's advocate, if that were true it would mean that Gary Husband was also lying and there'd be no reason for Hadrien to delete his posts here saying people here were trafficking in unfounded rumors.

Sure, that all could've happened. What do you think?

I think the fanboy stuff is pretty amusing. I like Hadrien and I guess
I'm in the now .1% that doesn't wish I played like him.
;)
