What happened to you today?

It's just not possible for me to walk into a record store without spending $10-$50. Today I picked up 2 of the Editors latest albums (which I haven't heard anything from in awhile, but loved 10 years ago) reduced to $10ea as leftovers from 'Record Store Day', & took a gamble on 3 - $5 recs by unknowns. That's often how I used to find good new music... just holding an album at the store and being curious. (That never happened once cassettes and then cds replaced the LP format.)
Dad is 97 years old today. Went to his assisted living facility with wife, sister, niece and her two boys to have ice cream (dad doesn't like the taste of any food except ice cream nowadays.)
Just got my landline fixed (yes; I still have a landline!).
There was a loud buzzing sound in the line. Turned out it was just a couple of damaged fuses.

Back to work after 3 days off. Went out to push a plane and pulled something in my back taking out chocks.
Currently waiting for a paramedic to assess...or possibly just take me out back and shoot me...

I have a land line too..where were these fuses located that you speak of?
Are you an off-gridder using old style fuses instead of breakers?
Actually, the AT&T guy took care of it. He showed them to me and referred to them as fuses. I should have gone outside with him to see what he did.
Sure it wasn't the CIA?
A landline is really all we have. We have a cellphone for traveling, but you have to drive fifteen miles before you have coverage. And that's just fine with me.
I watched my 35 year old son trot alongside my 6 year old granddaughter as she rode her bicycle without training wheels for the 1st Time! 
Of course, I flashed back to the days I spent doing the exact same thing for him...

Last nite I went into an auto parts store to pick up some oil, as and I was entering, some fella almost bumped into me in his haste to exit. An employee went to the still opened door and yelled "If you don't bring that battery back here I'm calling the police!" After he repeated it a second time, the guy came back with it, set it down on the counter, then slinked out. Didn't even look like he had a car
Had some visitors for breakfast this morning...
I served as a substitute Teacher in a kindergarten class, for the 2nd day in a row!
