What happened to you today?

Is this a red zone? I don' think so. It' not really red, and has been painted over. Other red areas on the curb were RED, (maintained) and this was not. If it is red, my car is going to get towed today.

If you get ticketed, try telling the magistrate that it was just a reflection from your car

I crossed the magic threshold of 3 into 4 days without sleep, and, while entertaining, in the last few hours inanimate objects have begun to dance around. Not bad. But this phone keyboard. It is awfully colorful for what I know is black and white the rest of the time. Challenging.

But I'm in a fine mood and quite pleased. When the senses go it's either positive and doable, or it's negative and all fight or flight for no reason at all. Good times.

today i... er... sat at my desk and worked, with occasional forays into TB.

oh, the lens i rented arrived, too. i am a day sleeper who stayed up to sign for the lens, but UPS dropped it at my door with no buzz or knock, so i'm running on 4 hours of sleep for no reason... but i i have 3 days to try out a 35mm macro lens with (get this) a built in ring light!

Lousy couple of days. I manage a small ranch and part of my wage is that I get to run a few cows of my own. I raised three heifers as replacements, and one died this summer. One of the others was a real pet, probably the friendliest calf I 've ever raised. Went out yesterday at daybreak and found she had gotten on her back in a ditch and died during the night.
Felt like I had lost one of our dogs. Went out this morning and found another cow had done the same thing. Not mine, but still an expensive loss, especially given both of these were a month from calving.

Ever feel like the universe is taking a dump straight down your neck?

At least none of the cows found you dead in a ditch.
