What happened to you today?

I just I left work an hour ago and didn't even have the slightest feeling that I need to go to the restroom. In Los Angeles the traffic is really really bad and I was getting on the freeway and the need to take a crap. Hit me hard. As in clench your butt cheeks hard. I was squeezing over and over for the last 20 minutes as it comes in waves. I was stuck and there was no where to get off and I was rapidly losing control. I finally got to an off-ramp but by that time it was practically too late. I pulled down a small Street and found the quietest place I could and dropped my shorts and exploded everywhere. I had to drop my shorts there, luckily I had an extra pair in my car. When you got to go you got to go, this really really sucks and now I'm going to be late to band practice cuz I got to go home and shower first. Man this is terrible. I'm lucky I made it that far, I was going to pull to the side of the freeway with all of these cars put both doors open and try to squeeze between the doors and let it out, but I thought I'd be too dangerous if a policeman comes by. And I had last eaten 5 hours ago, no indication at all, just all of a sudden.

Hopefully that's a one-time event, but if it happens again...

Not today, but over the past week I've had an offer accepted on a house and my regional director openly discussed me being promoted with my two other bosses, making it sound like it's a done deal and we are just waiting on the right time. Oh, and I also hit a new PR on my bench press. It's not the most I've ever done, but it's the most I've done in over 5 years :)

Well, it happened a little over a week ago but i apparently got bit by a spider on the back of my head. It started out as a very painful bump that swelled a bit but didn't spread, no redness streaking or heat, just some very mild local swelling for a few days then the pain went away and i thought it was all over. Silly me.
A few days ago i woke up with a bunch of nasty goop on my pillow and a drooling knot on my head. Wifey is up the country caring for siblings so i'm on my own for the most part and i can't see the spot so i do the usual, hot compress to draw the crud and since it's draining well i figure a few days of mess and i'll be GTG. Wifey comes home for the werkend and she insists i go see the doc. Got in this morning and apparently i've got a puddle of ultra concentrated venom in the form of a powerful digestive enzyme, consuming first the fat cells then starts working on other tissue in the area. They gave me some mega anti biotic shots pills and ointment and i'm waiting for a call to have the puddle opened and the mush and bad stuff vacuumed out. Hopefully i'll have some of my scalp left over the crater when it's all said and done.

Went to hospital for chest pain. I'm only posting this so you'll have a thread to go on in case it turns into a @ZenG situation.

Dang, guys... let's keep it together here! Fingers crossed for ya both (+ @ZenG.)

No biting... I usually bombard my prey with really bad jokes... works every time, too, especially with financial dealings.

Sorry to hear about that, @fhm555! Was it a brown recluse? I had wondered about @ZenG, too as I hadn't seen him on here in a while...

... hope you guys are doing okay!

As for you, @catcauphonic... did I tell you about the priest, the rabbi, and the frog?

My five-yr-old Samsung 59" Plasma TV started shutting off on it's own over the weekend. Then it might come back on in a couple minutes, but as the weekend went on, the delay time for it to come back on became hours. Changed the power cord, checked all the connections, changed outlets, even new batteries in the remote.

Last night I discovered that if I bang on the top of the unit, it'll turn back on, but only for a couple minutes at most. So something is loose inside the TV, and I know just enough about these things to hire someone else to diagnose and fix it. If I can even find a service that fixes these reasonably. Probably a $3 part but who knows what else it may involve. Looks like I'll be TV shopping over Memorial Day weekend. :rage:

Broke my reading glasses for the fourth time this month. Got a new prescription for new glasses and it appears as though I am going to require progressive lenses. Got quote for $1150.00cad for new frames and lenses.
I think the guy in the shop was a little put off by my incessant giggling after he told me the price. I told him I can buy a bass for that money that I will have in 30 years! Your glasses will last a year! Again, he did not see the humour in it!
So now, I am looking for a cheaper alternative to that amount of coin! This racket is almost as bad as the Px world!!!!!
