What happens to old basses?

I think it’s from the Nashville flood that hit the Gibson factory.
They go to a special farm upstate where they can play Mustang Sally all day long with other old instruments and have lots of fun.
As I guy who played Arias exclusively for close to a decade...I can tell you that the Matsumoku made ones just about tripled in price
Peavey T40s get recycled into boat anchors.
They go to bass heaven where Jaco sends them to the final rest with one last MWAAH
I know some old basses have definitely found a good home with me and I am willing to open my home to more if anyone can no longer look after them. I will take them without judgement and make sure they live the rest of their natural lives in comfort.

I wanna think they’re in the anxious hands of some Public School 4th grader somewhere here on the Earth.
I think the truth MUST be revealed...
All of the old basses (and guitars, like the ones in the dumpster photo) are trucked to a processing center, ground up in wood chippers, and sent to the carrot farms to be used as mulch and fertillizer.
So you can truthfully tell your kids that Daddy's old bass was sent to a farm out in the country where it has plenty of room to play...
