What is your favorite brand

I was kind of curious which brand are more played.

Thinking back on all the basses I have owned the majority have been Fender. So I would have to say Fender is my favorite followed by Spector.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. If it is by numbers of basses owned by the same mfr, then it is SX, which in truth ranks right up there. Always 1st or 2nd...

However I LOVE my Squier VM. And right now of the basses I own, that might be my favorite, though I have been playing my SX Geddy Clone all week....

But if you mean what brand of bass have you drooled over since you first saw one at the age of 16, well then it is Rickenbacker (4001/3).

So I guess my answer is a non answer, or my answer is the ones I own.

Fender is first and foremost for me. I also like Music Man. I find MTD's completely awesome, as well as Spectors. I also like some of the Ibanez soundgears. As far as boutiques go: Fodera, F bass, Sadowsky are all sweet.

Ibanez SR series - the necks are great - the PU's / EQ's sound great - they are of good quality, and the price is right.

Fender P-bass for sure. It's the only answer.

Rickenbacker has a great sound, but a completely different ax to play.

Both are great for studio work
