What kind of pick do you use?

Finger style here and when I want a bit more attack I use the tip of my index finger as a pick, I keep the nail just long enough to do the job. Anyway, it works for me. I can play with a pick pretty well if I need to and was a pick grinder for several years at one point but I'm much better as a finger style player.
another big stubby 2.0 mm user here. other picks just fly out of my hands. of course i generally use a pick for about 2 minutes until i miss the sound of my fingers
Dunlop .88mm when I use them for guitar. I don't like anything else.

I RARELY pick, and when I do I use a 2mm felt pick. I prefer the sound of fingerstyle (and I'm better at it), and the felt pick comes a little closer to it for when I need a pick sound but still want the fingerstyle sound.
I play about 80% fingerstyle and 20% with a pick. Switched to V-picks about 8 months ago and will never look back. Just awesome! They offer a great variaty of shapes, thickness and smooth or sharp edges. It is amazing what a difference they can make. And they are very comfortable and easy to hold onto.

When I use a pick I use .96 MM Dunlop tortex picks. They have enough give in them to give a nice 'thump' as they hit the string, but aren't so heavy they just bash the string.
I primarily play with a pick instead of fingerstyle. For most stuff, I use a dunlop Tortex 1.0mm(blue), but for heavier stuff, I use a dunlop tortex 1.14mm(purple). Personally, I can play louder and faster with a pick than with fingerstyle.
I'm normally fingerstyle as well, but I'll occasionally use a Dunlop Tortex 1.14 (purple) on bass. I normally use an orange Tortex on guitar.
I'm 16 and started bass at the same age, I have been playing bass just shy of 2 years now (and I'm not great) but I use a pick due to my fingers locking up when I use fingerstyle.

) as it gives the note a brighter tone and doesn't have the twang you get from any 1.0mm or less. I'm thinking of transferring to felt picks as they give you the tone of fingerstyle, only with a pick.

Sure do, but I'm not dedicated to fingers only in my metal band. It really depends on what the song needs. I play with a pick about 20% of the time overall, but with the metal trio, its about 50/50...

I've been using the Yellow Dunlop picks (0.73mm?) which aren't super thin but do have some give.
I've been wanting to try some heavier ones like the Blue (1mm?) to see if they give me a bit more grind, which I always want!

I mostly play with my fingers, but when I use pick it`s Dunlop Tortex Green Triangle (I bought some blue ones but haven`t used them yet)
