What kind of strings do you use?

I use DR High Beams (45-105) on both my G&L's

I've also liked LaBella's. they are less expensive, but I can't get them without ordering them in my area

The strings I use are as follows::

Fender Stainless Steel Roundwound 45-105s
Fender Stainless Steel Flatwound 50-100s
D' Addario EXL 170 Nickelwound 45-100s

All are really bright. Even the Flatwounds are bright for being flatwound, but hey, thats pretty neat.

I must be the odd ball here. To me as long as the strings are new they ALL sound great. I replace my strings after about 8 to 10 hours of playing, which works out to be every two gigs give or take.
I've used every brand under the sun. Tried all the new fangled cyro steel and hermetically sealed crap and after all is said and done I'll take whatever is on sale. Cheap and plentiful is what I say.
Buy 'em cheap and you can afford to Change 'em often. Nothing sounds like a fresh set of strings.
Carvin sells 5 string sets for $12.00 and I hear they're made by D'adarrio or something similar(the only thing i've ever bought at Carvin, not that there is anything wrong with that)
I've even heard of guys who boil their strings and haven't changed 'em in years -eeewww-
I've heard rumors that all the strings come from the same 2 or 3 manufacturers anyway. They just slap a different label on 'em.
But that's just me...

I've boiled my set of GHS boomers twice now, with great results. But yes, I would changes them (atleast) ever year.

I just tried Elixirs for the first time and I have to say that I quite like them so far. I have also been using Peavey Cirrus strings lately and they are really nice.

Fender nickel wrapped steel superbass 7250L on my 93 P-plus with P and J Lace sensors. They are over a year old. Sound somewhere between flats and round at this point. I like them new also.

I went to get new strings for my Cirrus and all they had were Rotosounds and Dean Markley SR2000's. I took the SR2000's and I have to say I am really digging their sound. It will be interesting to see how they retain their tone.

No seriously, they are a really good string. They're just kind of unheard of. Besides, you can't beat the price. 2 packs lasted me two years of the "Fatty", and I paid 7 bucks for the pair. They sound almost exactly like Balls, at least the Fatty do. The lean have the most metallic zing to them, and the Chunky are just very smooth and oriented.

I use D'Addario Extra Long Roundwounds, can't remember the exact production code, on my Yamaha (you guessed it) TRB1006, I find that I can get every sound I want and more.

Roto 77 Jazz flats on passive 4 string SUB. First set was D'Addario chrome flats which lasted 4-5 months. The Rotos are heavier, and give a good bark played hard by the bridge fingerstyle.
