What model P bass do you own?

2011 USA Highway One P, heavily modded.

I too have a 2011 USA Highway One P.

To start with, I have always disliked P's. I have managed to avoid them like the plague for the last 30 plus years.

I finally broke down and bought one as I am trying to broaden my tone choices.

Took it to an audition the other night with the Ray and the Minister. I grabbed the P for the first song and the dang thing sat so well in the mix and sounded so good that I refused to pick up the other two basses for the rest of the night.

I guess I owe the Fender P a sincere apology for besmirching it for years.

I love it. My p-bass started out as a '93 MIM, but now it has a Mighty Mite neck on it.

Our stories are similar: I bought a 2008 American Standard P V, even though I'd always been a Fender basher *and* seen the P as The J's poorer cousin. I found that two songs in a CD if just worked on could have used the P voice, so I went and bought one to have in the toolbox next time.

It gets just over half my gig time. My poor Lakland 5502 probably feels threatened.

What's a Minister? Izzat insider lingo for a Reverend or something?
