What never comes up for sale?

Easy question for me.

Warwick medium scale Jonas Hellborg bass. Never saw a used one for sale ever. At the upwards of $10K retail selling price they probably only made a couple dozen, if even.

Also, a Fender Japan medium scale Fender Jazz or Precision bass with a maple fretboard, the necks are compatible and interchangeable. I actually found and bought one, but the maple fingerboards are very rare. In 20+ years and even with an auto search on ebay, I have only seen three total. Happens to be one on ebay now but it is highly discolored between the frets in a couple of places, as you can see. Not that it's a huge deal but to pay a grand for a neck, which needs to be refinished and refretted, well - its a pricey project at least for me. I only want the neck - I already have this exact bass with a rosewood board and I have a very specific project in mind.

I am sure I can think of others if I scratch my head a bit.

Most left handed basses are harder to come by. I noticed that even a couple brands that have been well known for having Lefty options seem to have less these days. For instance you can look on the Warwick website and see out of stock on most of the Lefty models and a few that you just can't find an option for it. Spector if you want a budget line Lefty you're sol. They don't make them in the performer series. Legend series is discontinued. The new icon series I don't see a Lefty option. It's kinda sad really. Lefty Schecter, stingray, jazz and p basses I can typically see every time I look online but certain ones absolutely they are rare.

amps, not basses, and they do come up for sale VERY occasionally, but hardly ever .....

Sadowsky SA200

I can't imagine in this global world, where everything is for sale, that unless something was a total one-off, that they would never come up for sale. Maybe very rarely, but not never.
