The small shape allows me to choke right up on the tip for speed and accuracy, and the grippy surface means I can hold onto them with a more relaxed grip.
The carbon fiber means they last forever. Not to be confused with the nylon jazz iiis which are available in black, the carbon fiber has a totally different feel and sound.
They are not very clicky or pick sounding. You get none of the Ultex or Tortex "scratch". Very close to a finger sound, which is fine with me.
Took some getting used to after using Fender Heavy 1.0s forever, but totally worth it. I can play a lot tighter and more dynamically with the better control I get from the carbon jazz iii.
I grew up playing pick-style and there are still a lot of things I can do with a pick that I can't do with fingers. Tried many many different picks and this is the only thing I've found better than the classic Fender Heavy 1.0 mm.
