What strings do you use on your precision bass?

I have 5 basses. My favorite P Bass string are the TI Rounds. The mids and low mids just sing and can cut through or if you roll off the tone sit in the mix beautifully. My other 4 basses include LaBella flats, TI flats, EB Cobalt flats and Fender rounds. But, my go to sound comes from my P with the TI rounds.

Ok, I've talked myself into ordering another set.
TI rounds are super. I use them on one of mine and love the feel and sound. I too, use the EB Cobalt flats and really dig them. How does the EB Cobalt flats compare to the TI flats and the LaBella flats?

The Cobalt Flats come out of the package sounding like rounds but mellow after a few weeks of use, landing in the brightest flats area. I also find they're easier to get a growl out of.

Any one have experience with Ernie Ball hybrid slinky's, and DR sunbeams or DR black beauties, and how they compare?
I used Hybrid Slinky nickel strings on my Music Man (StingRay 4HH) in a desperate attempt to cut the treble and clank a bit. (Normally I use Rotosound Swing Bass, but they were just too much on the EBMM.) I liked the Hybrid Slinkys a lot, though I still ended up selling the Ray.

I have TIs on two other basses. Great strings, but like anything suited for different things than my cheapie GHS. Tell us about this tone pot!

My tone pot is both musical and useable wherever I set it. It is remarkable in that the tiniest movement causes a noticeable change. I have played...100? basses easy and I have never seen one so sensitive.

If I ever see this bass I have a friend who wants to buy...the tone pot. He'll toss in a replacement.

I think they're light guage Fender rounds on the '68 burst/rosewood/tort. Put them on when I got the bass back in 1980. The '76 Natural/maple/black (now tort) has some light guage rounds that I got on sale at the music store when I bought that bass back in '78. The '83 CAR/maple/pearl needs a new set. I've got Ernie Ball Slinkies and GHS Boomers. Not sure which to use. Sorry to be long winded, but you asked.
