What strings do you use on your precision bass?

I played Ti flats for years. To my ears they are the most musical flats. A while ago I switch to D'dario nickel rounds under the assumption that it's easier to darken a tone than brighten it.

My next set will be Dunlop Ultra Bright Nickels.

Because I have the best tone pot ever put on a passive bass.

I have 5 basses. My favorite P Bass string are the TI Rounds. The mids and low mids just sing and can cut through or if you roll off the tone sit in the mix beautifully. My other 4 basses include LaBella flats, TI flats, EB Cobalt flats and Fender rounds. But, my go to sound comes from my P with the TI rounds.

Ok, I've talked myself into ordering another set.

For round wounds, I change them up depending on what tone I'm going for.

Rotosound Swing 66 for the zingy, crunchy rock tone. I find DR Lo Riders sound very similar, but are gentler on frets/fingers and last far longer.

GHS round-core Bass Boomers are great for when you want more mid-range thumpiness.

For a well-balanced, all-around tone I like DR Sunbeams (round-core; nickel-wound) and DR Hi-Beams (round-core; stainless steel)
