What strings for your 6 string bass?

About to jump back into the 6 string thing after a decade away from it. Any suggestions? I will probably be using a Yamaha TRB6II....the bolt on, non piezo model.

I am a DR guy myself. I prefer hi-beams, Marcus Miller's are nice too.

I like Hi Beams too. If the bass is not zingy enough with the Sunbeams I will try some Hi Beams.

I have the same bass. I put TI flats on it about a year ago and never looked back! The six string set is the most expensive EB set I've ever seen, but totally worth it! Seems like they don't age, and slap tone is super cool too!

Personal favorite for my 6-string is DR Hi-Beams (and I like to order balanced tension). On that note, if you are into nickel strings, check out Circle K.

I've been using custom gauge EB slinks on my Bongo. Ordered a set of balanced D'addarios for it, so we'll see how that goes.

I'm using Ken Smith's Slick Rounds. I'm thinking about trying the sunbeams when it's time though.

I actually wound up getting a set of DR Hi Beams and I love them on my Yamaha TRB. I just scored a BOngo 6 and I think I am gonna try EB Nickel Slinkys on that bass and compare them.... I really love the DR's.

I must try these. My friend had an STR with a really nice 5 string set on it, seemed like the perfect tone for me.

I currently use Fodera ultra light steels on my TRB.

I use Warwick black label on 1 and coated Warwick strings on the 2. Had the Hibeams for a try, didn't like the tension.

I'm thinking about getting a set of Rotosound Swing 66 0.35-1.30 for my Daniel Fernandez headless 6 string. Anyone tried those?
