Yes, White. But in those days, the clear coat was prone to yellow rather quickly. I call it "banana meat."

Recently a 4080/12 popped up with the "gumby" style headstock on both necks. That was new to me. Most had the crested wave headstock on the bass side and the gumby on the 12-string head.

This price, even considering it is in Europe, is awfully high IMO.

This appears to be a fake.

Am I missing something?

You’d often see Renaissance’s bassists use a double-neck on stage, as did Mike Rutherford in the early Peter Gabriel days of Genesis.

What's funny is that the 4080 is pretty well-known/desired in the Rush and progressive fan community. I guess I just always assumed that everyone knew about them and wanted one

I had a chance to buy one of these for $2,000 in 1997. I was tempted, but bought an Alembic instead. That Alembic does not go for $19K today.

That Ric may not go for 19K either.

I bought a 1984 Series II for $2,400 in 1999, when a new one went for $10,000. Now I see they're $29,900.

The Alembic I bought instead of the Ric went for about $1,800 then and are maybe twice that now.
