What the Junk...Rickenbacker?!

No telling how many were made, but there can't have been very many. Probably in the hundreds over the production period.

Yes, White. But in those days, the clear coat was prone to yellow rather quickly. I call it "banana meat."

Recently a 4080/12 popped up with the "gumby" style headstock on both necks. That was new to me. Most had the crested wave headstock on the bass side and the gumby on the 12-string head.

This price, even considering it is in Europe, is awfully high IMO.

This appears to be a fake.

Am I missing something?

Anyone have any good videos of someone playing something like that? I always saw them and thought they looked cool since I play both, but I never found myself able to work out in my mind exactly how I would play it, nor did I want to spend money to find out. :-P
