I planted 20 tomato plants this past Spring and now we have a daily harvest of 40-50 tomatoes of Various types, mostly small ones like Juliets, Romas, Early Girl, and Cherry tomatoes.

So I have been making home made salsa, pasta sauce, pico, and sun dried tomatoes and freezing it in serving containers. I was thinking of making some Tomato Soup too.

Do you TBers have any ideas for other freezable tomato recipes?

I played Tom Sawyer with a pick once. Shame on me.
Grab some jalapenos, onions and garlic and make some pico de gallo.

Do? Sit in the bathtub with a case of beer and eat them all!

It's hard to beat salsa or pico. BLTs are the best with real, fresh tomatoes. Roast em in the oven maybe and toss them with some pasta?

You can sun-dry some and keep them in awl.

Get a bottle of chianti, some garlic and oregano, and melt a crap load of tomatoes in it.

  12. If you live in the right sort of neighborhood, you could sell them. Put them in a cooler on a card table at the end of the driveway with a cash box and sign. People do it here all the time.

  13. Pico or throw them at my band.

Slice of toasted Italian bread, slice of Roma, slice of Mozzarella, a sprinkle of fresh cracked pepper and some julienned, fresh basil.

I could live on bread, tomato, basil, and cheese. What more could you need?
